Job description
Maxxima have recently partnered with a leading private hospital. We are currently looking for an experienced Palliative Care Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in Northwest London, which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
You will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Palliative Care Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist:
- To work flexibly and be accountable for effective and efficient time management and prioritisation across the Hospice Inpatient Unit, Day Services and Community.
- To hold clinical responsibility for autonomously managing a complex patient caseload, undertaking appropriate and comprehensive specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention for patients with life limiting conditions.
- To ensure therapy intervention is individualised and patient-centered, focused on what is important to the patient and involving the patient’s significant others throughout.
- BSc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy or diploma or equivalent
- Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration for physiotherapy
- Evidence of post graduate professional development
- Member of relevant specialist interest group Evidence of additional specialist knowledge acquired through relevant post-graduate physiotherapy training.
- Experience of working across a variety of inpatient and rehab specialties e.g., oncology, respiratory, Knowledge and competencies equivalent to demands of the post.
- Evidence of robust clinical reasoning in the autonomous management of complex patients.
- Specialist skills of assessment and treatment of patients with complex conditions
