Job description

Maxxima is currently searching for a Specialist Band 6 Occupational Therapist to work in an early supported discharge team in Epping, Essex.


To be a Specialist Occupational Therapist with expertise in neurology, responsible for providing a high standard of assessment, treatment and evaluation to patients, both in a Rehabilitation Ward setting and in the community as part of the Stroke Early Supported Discharge Team.
To work as an autonomous professional according to the College of Occupational Therapy ‘Code of Ethics and Conduct’ and the ‘Health and Care Professions Council Regulations’.
To contribute to the overall service development of the team and actively participate in Continuing Professional Development. Provide leadership through supervision, mentoring, education and training.
To work as part of the integrated multi-disciplinary team to plan, deliver and evaluate all aspects of the patient treatment process, including rehabilitation, discharge and referral to appropriate community based health and social care agencies.

Rates will be competitive and range from £22-27 p/h depending on experience. 

Contract will run until the end of april, with potential extension. Full time and part time shifts contracts available.


  • Good level of experience and knowledge of neurology occupational therapy 
  • Available to work the neccesary shifts 
  • HCPC registered 
  • Occupational Therapy degree/diploma, or equivelent post-graduate qualification
  • Own means of transport as will include community visits
