Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for an MRI radiographer role to work across UK sites in London. This is an exciting opportunity to work for InHealth - the UK’s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.
The private hospital that has more than 3 million patients each year and diagnostic imaging is one of the busiest services that they provide. Working as an MRI Radiographer, you will deliver a professional and efficient MRI service, working alongside your colleagues in dynamic and fast-paced sites.
Location: London sites
Employment Type: Permanent, 36hrs
Hours: 3 Long Days Monday – Friday

On a typical day you will:
You will undertake supervised imaging procedures in line with existing modality specific clinical guidelines and protocols (IRMER2000, IRR 99, ARSAC). Also, you will Run Quality Assurance checks on equipment, and action as appropriate. Ensure you are providing a great experience for patients attending MRI scanning, supporting them through the process from referral to results.
You will need to ensure due regard is given to the customs, values, and spiritual beliefs of patients and to ensure patients views are sought and considered. Additionally, you will be required to ensure Patient Information Systems are maintained with accurate and up to date information. Lastly, you need to complete competency assessments and adhering to all operational procedures.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
A BSc Radiography or equivalent, a membership of an appropriate professional body and holds a valid registration (HCPC). Also, experience working with MRI equipment in a hospital or mobile environment and be prepared to undertake travel (UK and Ireland) and to stay away from home.
It’s required to have a good understanding of fundamental MRI physics, different scanning techniques and sequences as well as a proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer's role regarding the care of patients, their careers, and other colleagues. Finally, you will need experience in basic and routine MRI examinations, with the ambition to learn more complex scans.
