Maxxima’s Social Work team are currently recruiting for Qualified Social Workers to fill job roles in Leicester

The roles will be based within an Adults Team, who are looking for Qualified Social Workers to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis.
The pay rate for this role is up to £22 per hour, and the role will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

We are looking for experienced Adult Social Workers with experience of working in a busy Statutory service

To provide a social work and case management service to adults with social care needs including mental health issues, substance misuse issues, physical, sensory, age-related and learning disabilities and their carers To empower and promote individuals to achieve a positive outcome (within current legislation) utilising a personal/individual budget where appropriate
To assess the needs of and risks to adults with social care needs including mental health issues, substance misuse issues, physical, sensory, age related and learning disabilities and their carers.
To manage a specialist caseload in accordance with departmental and divisional priorities, policies and procedures.
To commission, co-ordinate, monitor and review community care services to service users and their carers in a way that meets the diverse population of people living in the City of Leicester.
To develop and build on partnership working arrangements and advocate the social work role
To be a representative of Leicester City Council’s Social Care & Education services within any multi-agency working forum and to ensure that a social work and anti-oppressive perspective informs decisions and practices regarding people served by these teams.
To undertake the statutory functions of Leicester City Council’s Social Care & Health service as relevant to the post including the Safeguarding Adults function.
To be able to recognise mental health and adult/child protection issues and other concerns and risks that require appropriate referrals.
To be pro-active in implementing the City Council’s Equal Opportunity Policies and Practices.
To work within the Council’s Environmental Policy.
