Job description

The Speech Therapy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist in Hornchurch. These are full-time posts for 3 months initially with an option to extend. We are looking for a Paediatric Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist to carry out the assessment of new referrals to the service with dysphagia (children and young people aged 0-19 years). Previous experience of working with Paediatric Dysphagia patients is desirable for this role. The role will involve identification of needs and development of treatment plans for CYP with dysphagia and complex needs; Speech and Language therapy interventions; SLT reviews; Completion of onward referrals as required; Completion of reports; Education Health and Care plan assessment and advice reports; MDT working. The working hours are from Monday - Friday 9:00 to 17:00.

Essential skills:
· HCPC Registered
· Paediatric Dysphagia trained
· Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
