Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Senior Inpatient Physiotherapist based in North West London. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s private leading private hospitals in the heart of London.

 
The post holder will be responsible for providing treatment for patients with a variety of acute presentations.  This service will be provided within the context of a multidisciplinary acute therapy team. The post holder may be asked to provide Physiotherapy service to patients with acute conditions in other areas of the Hospital, depending on changing levels of need. This post holder will be required to participate in the On-call and weekend rotas.

 
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 - Depending on experience

Location: North West London

Employment Type: Permanent, Full time

Hrs: Shift based


On a typical day you will:
  • Provide comprehensive and ongoing assessment for patients with Acute based disorders on wards and in the intensive care unit. 
  • Maintain accurate, up to date and concise treatment records detailing individual patients’ treatment plans and progress using the Physiotherapy Service documentation system and adhere to the guidelines and standards recommended by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Ensure the patient, their family and carers are involved in the planning and delivery of care
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams to ensure that an agreed care plan and patient centred goals are set and that the outcome of intervention is monitored.
  • Be responsible, together with the inter/ multi disciplinary team, for the discharge report, arrangements, liaison with external agencies and communication of pertinent information to the appropriate people concerned on discharge or transfer of a patient.
  • Ensure that patients are informed of the current procedure regarding the purchase of equipment.
  • Participate in Weekend, Public Holiday cover and on-call service as required.

Skills & Experience
  • HCPC Registration
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification
  • Post registration clinical experience in Intensive Care including tracheostomy management, neurology and neurosurgery.
