Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Senior IR Radiographer in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious private hospital in London.
As a Senior IR Radiographer, you will work across 4 state-of-the art IR Rooms, including our bi-plane IR suite, providing services such as general body, cardiac, neuro, vascular & non-vascular IR. You will also assist with the running of the Interventional Radiology Services, developing the service to fit with changing demands.
Location: London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hrs: 37.5hrs (shifts, extended working days and on–call working rotation/schedules as may be required)

What’s in it for you?
- Salary: £40,000 - £46,000 dependent on experience
- Assist Interventional Modality Lead and management team to develop new and maintain existing Imaging Service policies, procedures and protocols to reflect recognised best practice and ensure they are practical in application.
- Work collaboratively to deliver a high quality professional radiographic service that adapts in line with new technologies and clinical developments.
- Use excellent radiographic techniques and modify as clinically appropriate. Have the technical ability to manipulate a range of equipment, whilst maintaining patient comfort and adequately communicate with patients and colleagues to ensure the safe environment
- Supply medicines using Patient Group Directions, without compromising patient safety. Ascertaining the patient’s suitability for drugs and taking joint responsibility for the potential complications under the indirect supervision of Radiologists and demonstrating awareness of the clinical hazards and emergencies that such drugs can induce
What will you need to succeed in this role?
- Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required
- HCPC registered
- Significant post-qualification experience in Interventional Radiology/Cardiology/Neuro
- Experience and understanding of radiographic equipment in the context of how images are produced for both ionising and non-ionising radiation imaging methods and how images are appropriately shared and/or stored
- Knowledge of the application of different Imaging procedures and the associated risks/benefits and precautions/safety requirements
