Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Specialist Dietitian (Cardiology & Nutritional Support) based In South London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading private hospital group based in the heart of London.

As Specialist Dietitian will be supported by senior specialist dietitians to provide advanced dietetic care to cardiology, Critical Care & oncology patients.

Location: South London

Employment Type: Permanent, Full time hours

Hrs: 37.5hrs per week

On a typical day you will:

  • Provide a high-quality service for all allocated inpatient caseloads. They will provide dietetic advice that is clinically evidence based and in line with best practice standards and appropriate to the patient group, cultures and social contexts of patients, families and carers. The specialist dietitian will contribute to audits, service development and quality improvement projects.
  • Manage a clinical caseload in the specialist areas of cardiology, Critical Care and oncology.
  • Provide cover for Senior Specialist Dietitians when absent.
  • Involvement within the dietetic outpatient team, providing clinical cover as required.
  • Plan, prioritise and manage own caseload as an independent practitioner and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • To provide dietetic advice to patients and / or carers, considering their social, emotional, psychological and cultural needs, whilst being able to utilise this information effectively in formulating individualised dietetic advice.
What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • BSc degree in dietetics or equivalent
  • Healthcare & professionals’ council (HCPC), and British dietetic association (BDA) registration
  • Experience managing cardiology, critical care & oncology patients
