Maxxima's Social Work team are currently recruiting for Children's Social Workers to fill job roles in Sheffield

The roles will be based within Children and Families Services who are looking for Qualified Social Workers to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The pay rate for these roles is up to £31 per hour, and the roles will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements and details of these QSW vacancies:

We are looking for candidate who have experience of working in a busy Statutory Children's Service with vacancies based in the following.

A registered Social Worker who has at least 3 years continuous work experience in a Social Worker role since qualifying and can evidence that they have met and passed formal progression criteria within a Local Authority.
They may also be able to demonstrate evidence of further CPD, for example the undertaking or completed the Post Qualifying Award. Extensive experience of working within a children and families setting as a Social Worker and possibly in an unqualified role prior to qualifying.
Level 2 Social Workers are expected to hold a caseload of complex Child Protection cases. Typical caseloads vary across functions, but a Level 2 Social Worker will hold a caseload at the upper limit of the maximum prescribed for the function in which they are based.
Level 2 Social Workers require extensive knowledge of child care legislation and regulation especially child protection processes detailed in the 1989 Children's Act and the Every Child Matters agenda.
