The roles will be based within Social Services, who are looking for Social Work Assistant/MASH Researchers to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The pay rate for this role is £13

Requirements and details of this vacancy:

Under direction of the Social Work Unit Manager MASH/MASH Service Manager to work as part of a team to provide an effective, efficient and professional public and partner link for the MASH Team. To adopt a preventative approach to supporting vulnerable adults and their families. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. To receive and process in line with agreed pathways, initial enquiries made to MASH by members of the public, professionals, council staff and from other agencies, whether by telephone call, letter, electronically or in person. 2. To collate appropriate and accurate information from referrals and other sources in order to record onto the MASH database and/or in order for informed decisions to be made by MASH Senior Social Workers on referral or to pass or signpost to the relevant council department and/or other agencies. 4. To advise Social Work Unit Manager MASH, when a referral may require immediate attention. 5. To ascertain where there may be an inappropriate safeguarding referral and use initiative to signpost to other agencies 6. To receive follow-up calls on referrals and open cases as appropriate. 7. Under direction of the Assistant team manager in MASH, seek further clarification on information from referrers or from other agencies in order to allow referrals to be dealt with within agreed timescales. 8. To maintain accurate written/electronic records of all involvement with referrers and other professionals as required by departmental procedures and instructions. 9. To use a range of information technology and software packages as required. 10. To record and compile statistical information regarding referral activity as required by the Manager in MASH. 11. To undertake correspondence in connection with referrals as required by the Assistant Team Manager in MASH 12. To work with vulnerable adult and carers to obtain consent for enquiries from other professionals and agencies and to share information as necessary. 13. To be aware of the role and responsibility of other agencies and professionals within MASH 14. Contribute to a positive MASH team ethos and support future MASH initiatives. 15. To act in accordance with the Council's Values and Behaviours framework. 16. To participate in staff development, appraisal and training as appropriate, including continuous professional development. 17. To comply with the Council's agreed policies and procedures including but not limited to Health and Safety, and Equal Opportunities Policies, the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act, Financial Management Regulations and other relevant Council and Government Regulations, Directives and borough wide priorities. 18. To undertake any other tasks, duties and responsibilities as directed and appropriate to the grade and role of the post subject to any reasonable adjustments under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 as incorporated into the Equality Act 2010. 19. To participate in the wider development of the service and contribute to service improvement as required.
