Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Staff Nurse - DDSI based in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s private leading comprehensive clinics in the heart of London.

We are looking for a Staff Nurse with experience working on a digestive disease ward.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team with specialisms in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery with some vascular as well as cardiac/medical conditions, also digestive diseases including liver and robotics and other specialties that require continuous monitoring and treatment


Location: Central London

On a typical day you will:

• Manage the Acute Care Ward when on duty demonstrating clinical responsibility, in order to carry out safe delivery of care to a complex group of patients.
• Support, and in the absence of the Charge Nurse, organise the day to day running of the Acute Care Ward allocating nursing Caregivers according to their level of competence, reviews skill mix and workload to ensure they meet the needs of the service.
• Act as a clinical leader and role model whilst providing direct quality patient care, sharing expertise with colleagues.
• Ensure adherence and timely management of unit’s and CCL KPIs on recruitment and retention, staff development, appraisal, sickness management, disciplinary and grievance.
• Demonstrable broad clinical and managerial experience in the acute care field.
• Experience in the field of Digestive Diseases.
• Wide range of experience working in acute care specialties including cardiac and cardiothoracic, renal, and GI surgery.


What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Nursing Bachelor’s Degree.
• Completed Adult Cardiac Course or equivalent ENB 451.
• ILS provider course completed and qualification in required upon hire, or within 3 months of hire.
• Current nursing registration (First Level) through the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) required, with no restrictions to practice.
