Staff Nurse - Inpatient/Ward

Maxxima’s permanent team has a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced Staff Nurse - Inpatient, based in Ashford, Kent.

A Private Hospital Group based in Ashford, Kent is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work on the Inpatient Ward at its Ashford hospital.
Reporting to the Ward Sister, as a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of excellent patient centred care, ensuring consistently high standards are maintained, including:

• collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and
• ensuring compliance in line with national best practice standards
• demonstrating outstanding clinical practice at all times
• plan, implement and deliver holistic patient centred care to your patients
• maintain accurate patient records, utilising the most up to date evidenced based care and guidelines.

Hours: 37.5 per week, across a 7 day rotational shift pattern, covering days, nights and weekends.
Salary: Up to £32.9K dependent on skillset and experience.

Registered Nurse
The role of Registered Nurse will involve providing:

• Pre and post operative care,
• Assessing the needs of the patient,
• Planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care,
• Carrying out clinical nursing procedures,
• Administering medication, injections, intravenous infusions, and male and female catheterisation;
• Recording and maintaining accurate patient medical records and histories on the relevant IT systems.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMC

Experience

• Clinical nursing experience in acute surgical care
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

Skills

• Demonstrable knowledge and skills in the nurses area of clinical practice, including phlebotomy, cannulation, ECGs, epidurals, and intravenous antibiotics
• Sound written, numerical and verbal communication skills
• Sound computer skills using MS Office Suite and web based reporting systems
• Demonstrated customer service skills

Desirables

• Experience in the private sector
