Maxxima are currently recruiting for Sterile Services Technicians to work in a service based in Charing Cross.

Info about the role:
Our clients have ongoing shift work available. This is a great opportunity to supplement a part time role that you may already have or to gain experience in the Sterile Services field. The majority of the shifts are Monday - Friday but there are often requirements through the weekend as well. The service operates on a 24/7 basis and you could work up to 12 hour shifts if you choose to. Required skills for a Sterile Services Technician include:
*Good spoken and written communication skills
*The ability to follow detailed instructions
*The ability to work quickly and precisely
*IT skills

All applicants must have relevant experience in the role within the NHS or private sector. The day-to-day duties of this placement will include:
*collecting re-usable medical and surgical instruments and devices from wards, clinics and operating theatres
*taking apart pieces of equipment for cleaning
*cleaning and sterilising equipment
*putting equipment pieces back together when sterilised
*checking that all instruments are clean and working properly
*delivering sterile supplies by trolley to wards and departments
*restocking supplies of items like dressings, needles and syringes
*operating a steam sterilising machine
