Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Surgical Senior Sister based in Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a private hospital treats a range of conditions using some of the most advanced technology in the region, from their 3T MRI scanner to their state-of-the-art laminar flow operating theatres.
As a Surgical Senior Sister, you will provide effective leadership, expertise, advice and support to the team, carrying continuous responsibility for the management of the unit, making effective use of resources and ensuring the highest standards of care to patients and families are achieved on a 24-hour basis.
Location: Cheshire
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 Hours)
Hrs: Monday-Saturday, covering early and late shifts on an internal rotation

On a typical day you will:
- Effective leadership and management of RN’s an HCA’s, supporting staff with clear lines of professional and organisational accountability performance and development of staff

- Proactive development and monitoring of nursing services to improve the quality of care
- Effective resource management within allocated budgetary constraints
- Enhancement of patient experience in all aspects of the journey
- Implementation of effective risk management processes

- To effectively manage the service and ensure that all charges are captured effectively.

What will you need to succeed in this role?
- NMC Registered Nurse
- Strong experience in a surgical setting
- Evidence of further education including post-graduate certification/diploma/Continuous Professional development
- Management skills and Leadership or management training
