Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Theatre Clinical Practice Facilitator to work in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a private hospital that provides a range of complex care services for patients, specialising in oncology, neuro, cardiology and a range of complex surgery for adult patients, priding itself in providing comprehensive patient centred care and support throughout the patient journey, from initial diagnosis through to treatment and discharge.

Working as a Theatre Clinical Practice Facilitator, you be responsible for working closely with the Theatre team to ensuring safe, evidence based clinical care within the Theatre environment. With specific responsibilities of staff education, audit, implementation of best practice and incident review.

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 Hours)

On a typical day you will:
  • Ensure safe, evidence based patient care is being practiced across the theatre department so that clinical staff deliver high quality specialist services in line with best practice guidelines
  • Manage and lead the theatre team in regards to ensuring mandatory training, compliance and governance is kept up to date
  • Understand the Integrated Governance process and working with the Theatre leadership team, ensure staff comply with the Infection Control, clinical and H&S policies to minimise risks to patients and staff.
  • Promote effective communication and co-operative working arrangement with other departments, in particular Wards, Critical Care and Imaging Departments.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • Operating Department Practitioner/Registered Nurse qualified
  • 4 - 5 years post graduate experience in pre and post operative care, particularly with complex surgeries
  • 1 years experience of education/training of staff, or qualifications to demonstrate working towards this
  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
