    We are the top NHS apprentice recruiter in Yorkshire and the Humber and have around 300 apprentices in the Trust. They work in a variety of roles, including clinical support, administration, pharmacy, medical education, medical physics, engineering and gardening. We have also been named the National Employer of the Year by the Learning and Work Institute for our apprenticeship programmes.

  • What benefits are on offer?

    The Trust has an in-house Counselling Service which is able to offer support to staff experiencing difficulties either at home or work.

    There are fully equipped gym facilities at the LGI and St James' with qualified staff, and changing / shower facilities. The gyms are open from 6.00am to 10.00 pm 7 days a week.

    A range of activities are offered including Touch Rugby, running groups, walking routes with access to pedometers and walking packs.

    Exercise classes are run at SJUH both at lunchtimes and some evenings.

    A beauty therapist runs a weekly session at SJUH and offers beauty treatments and alternative therapies including Reiki and massages.

    n addition to the annual leave provisions, the Trust operates a Special Leave Policy, which assists staff in balancing home and work life with support for caring responsibilities, bereavement and time off for Public Duties.
