Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for several Band 3 Clinical Support Worker/Healthcare Assistants to fill a job role in Ipswich. The candidates will be required to work within the Learning Disabilities Assessment and Treatment Team.

Our NHS Client are looking for a Clinical Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant to start as soon as possible on a Full Time or Part Time basis (Shifts patterns = 6.45am-2.45pm; 1.15pm-9.15pm or 8.45pm-7.15am). The pay rate of this role is at £11 per hour (umbrella rate) with enhanced rates for nights and weekends, and the role will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements and details of this CSW/HCA vacancy:
*We are looking for candidates with an understanding, experience and empathy regarding mental health issues and learning disabilities.
*This role is within an acute adult inpatient service for people with a learning disability, and mental health/behavorial issues.
*The candidate will be required to work as part of a Multi-disciplinary Team to support the service users.
*The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, skills in positive behavioural skills, IT skills, able to prevent and manage/deescalate aggression, aswell as skills in alternative communication methods eg Makaton is desirable.
