Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 3 Support Worker -to fill a full-time role at Hellesdon Hospital in Norwich. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills working in a care and support environment.
The role will involve the following
  • Greeting service users who are attending the Clozapine Clinic for their blood tests
  • Completing service user notes on the trusts electronic patient system
  • Acting as a second person with in depot clinics to support with documenting in service users notes when medication has been administered
  • Liaising with members of the service users care team communicating any concerns regarding the service users mental state or Clozapine treatment
Ideally (but not necessary) you will have phlebotomy skills, so they can complete phlebotomy interventions for the service users attending the clinic
To apply you must have
  1. Good written and verbal communication skills
  2. Be able to drive to support with any home visits appointments
  3. Be organised and have experience in diary management
  4. Experience in completing basic physical health checks such as blood pressure, pulse, height & weight
This role will be Monday to Friday, 09:00- 17:00.
The pay rate for this Band 3 Support Worker is £10.20 per hour (Umbrella), due to start at the beginning of February 2021
Requirements of this Band 3 Support Worker vacancy:
  • You must be an excellent communicator
  • Be a car driver with access to a car for work use
  • Ideally but not essential have phlebotomy skills
  • Have some experience in completing basic physical health checks such as blood pressure, pulse, height & weight
