Job description

Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for Band 5 CAMPHS Practitioner to fill a full-time role in the Mental Health Team based in Radlett. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of working with Mental Health Services.

 

We are looking for a Band 5 CAMPHS Practitioner to work for at least 3 months in Radlett working within the Mental Health Service

 

This role is a Band 6 position and will pay up to £20 umbrella rate

 

Band 5 CAMPHS Practitioner

 

  • Working 9-5 Mon-Fri
 

  • To cover our medical monitoring clinic.  This will mean checking patients’ blood pressures, pulses, blood sugars and weight. They will be required to take action if the results require it i.e. supporting a patient to drink an Ensure supplement drink and sending them to A&E if required.  They will also be required to update the team doctor, the care co-ordinator and update Paris notes. Also, therapeutic work with young people with eating disorder using a family based approach, motivational enhancement therapy and CBT-E. Please see info attached

The post-holder will be responsible for the clinical and operational day to day service delivery ensuring that an individualised comprehensive assessment and Care Management service is effectively delivered.

Responsibilities include the clinical and operational supervision of junior nursing staff and students as delegated by the team manager.

To be accountable for delivering a quality services that is effective and efficient in line with the organisation’s objectives and performance indicators.

To contribute to strategic service development working collaboratively with other agencies.
