Maxxima's nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 5 or 6 Substance Misuse Nurse to fill a job role in Sheffield. The candidate will be required to work within a Treatment and Recovery Team.

Our NHS Client are looking for a Substance Misuse Nurse to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm). The pay rate of this role is at £18-£23 per hour (umbrella rate, depending on banding), and the role will initially be a six-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

Requirements and details of this Drug & Alcohol/RMN vacancy:
-We are looking for candidates who have a significant understanding of substance misuse practices within the NHS.
-The candidate must be registered with the NMC.
-Working as part of a nursing team based within Sheffield, the post holder will provide specialist assessment and substance misuse interventions to service users of START, including those service users with complex physical and/or mental health problems, and their families and carers (Dual Diagnosis).
- The role will involve assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating specialist interventions and treatments in line with service plans and to prioritise on an individual, joint or group basis.
- To plan, organise and co-ordinate multi-agency activities and care with other professionals and agencies.
- To work in partnership with service users and agencies to ensure that there is effective communication and liaison about treatment plans across the Trust and Primary Care services.
- The job requires clinical knowledge and experience and willingness to work within a multi-disciplinary integrated team with service users experiencing drug/alcohol problems.
