An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse to join a busy eating disorder ward team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of patients with eating disorders in the NHS.

This NHS role will require you to work within a 14 bedded mixed inpatient unit caring for adults with eating disorders. You will provide a stepped model of care tailored to individual needs, and will treat patients who want to be able to live safely with their eating disorder, and those requiring acute intervention because they have reached a dangerously low weight. You will offer a range of evidence-based treatments to assist a patient's return to independent living at the earliest opportunity. You will support patients during meals and snack times and avoid eating disorder behaviours during mealtimes.

The ward operates 24 hours a day and you will be required to work a range of shifts including days, nights and weekends.

The pay rate for this locum Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse role is up to £27 per hour (Umbrella) depending on the shift worked and is a 3-month contract due to start ASAP.

Requirements of the Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse role:

- You must be an RMN with a current NMC pin
- Experience of eating disorders desirable but not essential
- You must have previous experience working within the NHS
