Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Scunthorpe, East Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Child and Adolescent Mental Health and the practices within the NHS.
The Trust are looking for an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to be based at St Nicholas House, Scunthorpe. During these times, the role will have home working included so you will not be required to travel to Scunthorpe every day.
The team is currently a mix of social workers and a clinical psychologist. This role is suitable for Registered Social Workers (SWE) or Registered Mental Health Nurses (NMC).
Previous CAMHS experience is highly desirable, but any relevant experience of working with Children and Families’ emotional and social wellbeing can be considered.
Driver, own car and business insurance required
This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday business hours and the placement is likely to be 3-6 months
The pay rate for this Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella).
Requirements of this Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner vacancy:
  • All applications must be registered mental health nurses with Valid NMC pin or a Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Experience in undertaking collaborative formulation with  young people families and professionals
  • Demonstrable post qualification experience of working with young people with mental health issues
  • Managing and prioritising a complex caseload 
  • Currently engaged in an advanced level of practice and able to demonstrate a degree of professional autonomy
  • Experience in providing patient-centred formulation and guidance to the wider professional systems working with children, young people and families
  • The ability to provide patient-centred care planning, implementation and evaluation with children, young people,  families and professionals
  • Ability to undertake Risk Assessments and identify appropriate plans in partnerships with the young person, families and other agencies
  • Highly developed skills in the assessment and formulation of service users in crisis and planning appropriate interventions.
  • Experience in the development of  robust care plans and risk management plans
