Job description

Maxxima Nursing Team is currently seeking for two Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurses to fill a full-time role in Havering, East London.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and skills as a Community Mental Health Nurse.
In this NHS role, you will deliver a range of evidence based interventions which will promote recovery, social inclusion and normalisation. You will also provide a Recovery focused, multi-disciplinary assessment for people that meet the service criteria and require service provision. Adding to this you will need to Assess and plan treatment effectively in partnership with service users, their carers and families to identify needs and agreed desired outcomes from a recovery perspective and to start to plan discharging from secondary mental health services at the point of entry.

This role will be full time to meet the needs of the team. Working hours are 09:00-17:00.

The pay rate for this locum Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse job is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella) due to start ASAP.

Requirements of the Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse role:
  • You must be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC Pin.
  • You must have experienced working within the community.
  • You must have at least 2 years previously working with mental health.
  • You must have good communication and organisation skills, can do attitude and be able to manage a caseload autonomously.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience arranging meetings and taking minutes.
