Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse First Response Team Assessor to fill a full-time role in Thurrock, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of First Response practices within the NHS.

In this NHS role you will hold responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care for service users who are referred to the Community Mental Health Team for Assessment/Treatment.  The role will be to act as an assessor.  They will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and work in close co-operation with hospital based and primary health care based professionals.  They will be responsible for the maintenance of standards of care within the First Response Team and actively participate in the training and education of staff seconded to the service
 

The ideal candidate will have a strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times.

This role is Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00, for the duration of 8 weeks.

The pay rate for this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse is £23.00 per hour (Umbrella). Due to start ASAP.

Requirements of this Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse vacancy:

  • You must be a registered mental health nurse with a valid NMC pin.
  • Must have previous experience working in community settings
  • Must be able to complete risk and mental health assessments
  • Must have a therapeutic approach towards individuals and their families
