Maxxima’s nursing team are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to fill a full-time role in Norwich. The ideal candidate will have a significant understanding of Mental Health in the community.
The CRHT team provides emergency assessment and short-term, intensive community support for individuals experiencing mental health crisis. The team aims to work with people who, without this support, would otherwise be admitted to hospital/unable to be discharged from hospital.
Your role will be to triage, assess, plan and implement appropriate care for people presenting with Mental Health distress/crisis. You will risk assess, and must have good decision making skills and also the ability to communicate effectively with service users and their families.
This role is to work various shift patterns, with long days and nights available.
The pay rate for this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner is £23.00 - £35.00 per hour per hour (Umbrella), depending on the shift worked. This is a 3 month contract initially, due to start ASAP.
This role is suitable for a Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker with a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Requirements of this Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner vacancy:

• Must have previous experience of working within crisis
• Must be competent in triage and assessments
• Must have effective analytical skills
• Must be a car driver with access to your own vehicle
