Permanent PET CT Technologist – Stevenage, Hertfordshire 
Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a PET CT Technologist for the UK’s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for you to deliver a professional and efficient service, working alongside your colleagues in the private’s hospital dynamic and fast-paced sites. As an integral part of the private’s hospital clinical team, your skills as a PET CT Technologist will help them to deliver on their vision to make healthcare better.

Employment Type: Permanent, 36 hrs
Hours: Monday to Sunday, as local rota + on occasions, national travel may be required to attend training courses

On a typical day you will:
Follow the modality’s specific protocols, in line with requirements, to support the service. Also, undertake examinations in line with the patient referrals adhering to departmental guidelines. Following, you will need to assist with the booking of patients where appropriate and ensure the security and upkeep of all relevant patient records. You will need to assist placement students and other colleagues in the achievement of their learning outcomes. Plus, taking ownership and fulfil the requirements of any required Statutory and Mandatory training.
You will be a part of all operational procedures as outlined by the private hospital’s daily returns, timesheets, private mileage claims, ensuring the smooth flow of clinical and administrative work, etc. Additionally, you will take part in governance activities, such as incident reporting and investigation, audits, personal development, team meetings as well as monitoring essential stocks and re-ordering as required. Lastly, to actively participate in the individual performance appraisal review system.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
To succeed in this role, you will need a BSc Radiography degree or equivalent, experience working with PET CT equipment in a hospital or mobile environment and have a specific interest in training and developing your PET CT skills and those of others. Additionally, you will need to have proven knowledge of the requirements of a radiographer’s role in the care of patients, their visitors, carers, and to colleagues. Plus, have carried out Infection Control training, Manual Handling and Patient Transfer training, Health and Safety Awareness training as well as Basic Life Support training. You will also be required to be flexible when working shifts.
