Job description
Maxxima have recently partnered with a private hospital pharmarcy. We are currently looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician, who can provide overall support for the hospital pharmacy. This role is based in Derby, where public transport is easily accessible.
About the role:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the Pride Pharmacy team to provide an exemplary pharmacy service to the hospital and its customers. You will also work within your own level of competence and in accordance with the current legislation, ethical standards and Pride Pharmacy policies and procedures.

About the role:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will assist the Pride Pharmacy team to provide an exemplary pharmacy service to the hospital and its customers. You will also work within your own level of competence and in accordance with the current legislation, ethical standards and Pride Pharmacy policies and procedures.

- Ensure all prescriptions are legal, endorsed, counted and dispensed accurately according to local procedures and protocols
- To participate in the development of strategic planning processes for the outpatients pharmacy, implementing and monitoring action plans as appropriate.
- Liaise with various members of the pharmacy team, ward staff, external members and patients when solving supply problem
- To maintain standards of safety, tidiness and cleanliness within the department in accordance with COSHH and Health and Safety regulations
- The legal right to work in the UK
- Experience working alongside customers or patients and set procedures/processes
- 2 years experience working in a community or hospital pharmacy
- Previous experience of line managing and training staff
- IT literate and experience of using JAC dispensing software
