Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to work in an IAPT service based in Southampton. This role is a mixture of assessment and guided shelf help interventions either via telephone or face to face, dependent on service requirements.
Our clients are looking for candidates to start ASAP on a Full Time basis and are offering an initial contract of three months, with a view of extension to 6 months. The starting pay rate is £17.00 per hour.
Requirements of the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner vacancy:
All applicants must have a relevant qualification - for example a Post-Graduate Diploma in PWP / Low Intensity Interventions - and preferably some post-qualification experience within the NHS or private sector. The roles and responsibilities of this placement will include:
* Provide evidence based Low Intensity Psychological Interventions to clients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and other mental health conditions
* Ensure high professional standards are met and that client confidentiality is protected
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals involved with the psychological treatment of patients
* Attend clinical supervision in order to develop skills and experience
