Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist based in Central London. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s private leading comprehensive clinics in the heart of London.

As a Senior Cardiac Physiologist, you will work within the Cardiology team to deliver the highest standards of care and service to patients and referrers. This includes the appropriate assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of activities in keeping with hospital policies and procedures.

Location: Central London
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time, 37.5 hours a week
Hrs: Monday to Friday, shifts between 08:00 to 19:00pm

On a typical day you will:

  • Perform a range of Cardiology and Lung Plethysmography tests and to lead Exercise Treadmill
  • Undertake a range of non-invasive Cardio and Respiratory investigations such as Ambulatory ECG Monitoring and Tape Analysis and Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring, maintaining a high standard of technical skill, efficiency and patient care in accordance with departmental protocols and procedures
  • Liaise with Consultant Cardiologists, Respiratory Consultants and referring clinicians, nursing colleagues to ensure that relevant information of the patient in your care is communicated.
  • Inform carers and members of staff about Cardiology and Respiratory procedures where appropriate, patient examination preparation and aftercare
  • Assist all technical and scientific staff with the introduction of new procedures and techniques into the routine service and assist with the training as appropriate

What will you need to succeed in this role?

  • HTEC / BSc in Clinical Cardiology and Respiratory or equivalent
  • ARTP or equivalent
  • ASCST or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of two years post qualification experience in Cardiology and Respiratory within the NHS or Private Sector
  • Extensive knowledge of routine and complex cardiology and respiratory techniques
