Maxxima's Social Work team are currently recruiting for a Senior Practitioner to fill a full-time job role in Nottingham

The roles will be based within Social Services, who are looking for a Senior Practitioner to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis. The pay rate for these roles is up to £32 per hour and the roles will initially be a three-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Team Manager by supervising the Children's Social Workers within the team. They will work within the relevant legislative and statutory planning frameworks, Government Guidance, the City Council's core values and strategic aims, and the Department's policies and procedures. The Whole Life Disability vision is to take a whole life approach to ensure disabled people live safe, fulfilling lives.

The Whole Life Disability Approach supports citizens with physical and learning disabilities from childhood right through to adulthood to ensure a smooth transition between services. The team works closely with Health colleagues to commission and support citizens in a range of services including community support, residential and hospital settings.

Essential Requirements
1.Experience of supervising Children's Social Workers or working as an assistant Team Manager
2.Substantial experience as a Social Care practitioner with children and families across a range of functions including assessment, delivery of care and Child Protection plans, and court work;
3.Thorough knowledge of the Children Act 1989 and related Guidance, other relevant legislation, the Government's Objectives for Children's Services, and the Assessment Framework for Children in Need and Working Together to Safeguard Children;
4.Understanding of whole life, strength based person centred approaches
