Speech and Language Therapist -Aylesbury-Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s providers of educational services. We are currently looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the academy. This post is based in Aylesbury, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will provide professional development program for the school staff in line with the schools development plan, delivering training as appropriate.
 
Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Provide and develop service to meet the needs of pupils across the academy
• Establish an integrated approach to embedding therapeutic strategies across the curriculum which will provide support for a wide range of SLCN
• Provide specialist interventions (as prescribed by the SaLT team in response to a specificfunctional need within the environment) as part of a holistic integrated approach

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Recognised professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC and RCSLT registration
• Completed RCSLT competencies, minimum of one year’s experience
• Evidence of working within a multidisciplinary team with children or adults withlanguage disorder, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, functional communication needs orSEMH
• Evidence of participating in/running training for “communication partners” of childrenwith SLCN needs
• Evidence of application of theoretical underpinning of practice
