Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Support Worker on the Cambridgeshire & Hertfordshire border. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and inspiring provision for 9-19 year olds’ with several and profound communication conditions, where you can positively change the lives of the children and young adults you work with.

As Support worker you will be working in a children’s home and school which provides education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people aged 9-19 years with severe and profound communication difficulties associated with conditions such as cerebral palsy, autism, brain injury and degenerative disorders.

Full training will be available with the Opportunity to study the Level 3 diploma in Residential Child Care fully funded!

Location: Cambridgeshire / Hertfordshire border
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time 40 hrs per week – will consider flexible hours and PT
Hrs: 4 Week rota pattern

Salary: £20,072 - £22,256 per year for a 40 hour week + PLUS £1000 Welcome bonus*

On a typical day you will:

  • Providing exceptional high levels of care during all daily activities such as washing, dressing, socialising, learning, washing/personal care.
  • Assisting with therapy sessions such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy.
  • Communicating effectively and building strong relationships that will empower the children and young adults are free to grow and develop
  • Ensuring that the environment is safe, supportive and enjoyable
  • Helping develop their learning and social skills wherever possible
