We are currently looking for an experienced Adult Neuro Lead Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Tonbridge, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Lead Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working in a specialised acute adult neuro rehabilitation private hospital service. You'll work with patients who suffer from Acquired Brain Injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s Disease. The hospital is set in 17-acres of stunning parkland offering unique and peaceful surroundings, ideal to maximise rehabilitation.

Your main responsibilities as a Lead Speech and Language Therapist:

• Assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing for patients with highly complex physical and cognitive impairments caused by neurological insult and acquired brain injury         
• Working with Tracheostomy patients
• Ensure effective delivery of the service through professional leadership, operational management, supervision and guidelines to SLT staff
• Manage and further develop the Speech and Language Therapy annual audit programme and report all research and audit activities

What we are looking for in a Lead Speech and Language Therapist:

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
• HCPC and RCSLT registered
• Evidence of successful completion of Dysphagia Training
• Tracheostomy experience
• Lead therapist experience in neuro setting
