The Occupational Therapy team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist in Birmingham. If successful, you will be working full-time hours from Monday to Friday. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work within an outpatient neurological service with patients who have recently being diagnosed with a neurological event. Previous working experience in NHS is essential for this role.

Duration: 3 months contract
 
Essential skills:

• HCPC registered
• Be part of the interdisciplinary team (IDT) delivering high quality specialist occupational therapy for clients by adherence to clinical governance and evidence-based practice
• Provide service in a range of community settings using highly developed specialist practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge/neuro qualifications
• Be a specialist resource of information for health and social care staff, patients, families, carers and external agencies who may require advice, support and guidance in the management of these patients
• Transfer individual patients’ on-going care to other agencies as appropriate and ensure that the service provided is conducted in a professional, efficient, and effective way
• To meet the service specification objectives as part of a team providing high quality neuro service
• Relevant qualification in Occupational Therapy
