Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Cardiac Physiologis to work across regional UK sites. This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions.

Working as a Cardiac Physiologist, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality care and patient-focused services to patients undergoing cardiac procedures in mobile and static Cardiac Catheter Labs.
 
Location: UK wide (hotel covered if required or car allowance/mileage paid)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (36 Hours)
Hours: 3 Long Days Monday - Friday

On a typical day you will:
  • Undertake and record safe and accurate physiological measurements during cardiac procedures, maintaining a high level of clinical and technical skill during clinical procedures.
  • Follow modality specific protocols including all necessary patient identification, preparation and safety checks, equipment and consumables prior to the patient procedure
  • Assist with the development of link roles/audits and deputise your Lead Mobile Cardiac Physiologist for audit completion during periods of annual leave/sickness.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is efficiently recorded in the patients’ electronic and written integrated care plan (ICP) where appropriate at each site.
  • Deliver safe and appropriate patient care pre and post procedure (where applicable)
  • Be fully conversant with the content of the resuscitation trolley, the function of the defibrillator and all relevant emergency and transfer policies

What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • Be an experienced Cardiac Physiologist with a degree in Clinical Physiology (Cardiac) or equivalent.
  • Have at least 2 years’ post qualifying experience
  • RCCP Registered
  • Have demonstrable experience of working in the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory environment will all relevant equipment.
  • Be prepared to undertake travel (UK and Ireland) and to stay away from home
