On a typical day you will:
The Dysphagia Specialist Speech and Language Therapist is responsible for assessment, intervention, and consultation for a specialist caseload - to facilitate development of students’ communication and eating and drinking with a focus on safety and skills development. The post holder will also assist the Lead Speech & Language Therapist with team leadership responsibilities.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
- Certificate to practise from RCSLT
- Registered member of RCSLT and HCPC.
- Significant clinical experience in a range of settings.
- Experience in paediatrics, learning disability or acquired disorders
- PC literate
- Experience in supervising other staff.
- Evidence of higher study.
- Signing qualification (e.g., Singalong, Makaton, BSL).
- Dysphagia qualification.
