Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Head of Clinical Governance or significantly experienced ‘Quality and Risk’ Managers who have specifically worked on EHR Projects. The Role would be for a minimum 2-year contract, potentially 2.5years, duration of project. This role is critical in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of the programme, as well as responsible for the governance, risk management and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, national and local policy. The candidate will ensure appropriate reporting of the work programme for the duration of the implementation programme, as well as the transition to on-going support model, ensuring the next generation EHR platform delivers value to the organization in short and long term.

On a typical day you will:
 
 
Leadership of the clinical governance workstream of the EHR system implementation programme:
  • Accountable for the management of the workstreams supporting the delivery of an EHR solution covering risk, quality, and safety.
  • Direct line management of 3 direct reports
  • Management of a team of 10 roles
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business and across the workstreams
 
Support the programme delivery, with a clinical governance focus:
  • Provide direction to ensure a patient focussed clinical governance structure is defined in relation to the EHR implementation and reported via the established EHR reporting structure.
  • Together with the project senior leadership, continuously review the EHR reporting and clinical governance structure to ensure it is appropriate, escalating the right risks and issues and stakeholders feel informed and engaged
  • Provide expert advice and support to the Executive sponsors and workstream leads on matters relating to risk, regulatory compliance, complaints resolution, clinical negligence and health and safety – when scoping out the new system
What will you need to succeed in this role?
  • Experience in governance, including risk management and quality and safety
  • Progressive leadership experience and understanding of the healthcare industry
  • Previous experience in managing a team
  • Previous experience in delivering objectives and KPIs
  • Educated to diploma or degree level - Health or governance related degree
