Lead Occupation Therapist- Permanent – Edinburgh

Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Lead Occupational Therapist on a permanent basis to work for the UK's largest hospital group.

Location: Edinburgh

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time hours 37.5 (shift based)

On a typical day you will:
 

• Work within an experienced inter-disciplinary team with an emphasis on partnership working
• Provide care and treatment with service users firmly at the centre of all decision making
• Receive training in sensory-informed treatment for trauma as well as occupational case formulation.
• Practice occupational therapy in its truest form and deliver unique occupational therapy interventions – rebuilding lives.
• Add to the research and evidence-base of occupational therapy with service users as part of a funded research project to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of occupational therapy.

What will you need to succeed in this role?
 

• Occupational Therapy Degree
• Registered with the HCPC
• 5 years or more post-qualification experience
• Able to operate at an advanced level of clinical practice
• Trained in the use of Sensory Informed approaches.
• Trained in Occupational Case Formulation and goal setting
