Job description

Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of educational and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist, you will be working in a mainstream and specialist educational settings with families in the South West of England (BANES, Somerset and Wiltshire). As part of the team you will be supporting educational colleagues to provide therapeutic learning environments.
You will provide clinical assessment, offer individualised interventions and engagement to young people.

Your main responsibilities as a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist:
  • Manage your own caseload of children with language difficulties
  • Work collaboratively with other speech and language therapists and therapy assistants on our team to deliver an outstanding service to a range of clients
  • Assess and diagnose a child’s communication difficulties through standardised assessments, informal observations and discussion with families and school staff
  • Facilitate and enhance communication and implement speech and language therapy treatment,  to develop clear, evidence-based plans throughout the therapy intervention
  • Communicate complex information to clients, families, and the MDT in order to maximise the effectiveness of speech and language input.
What we are looking for in a Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist:
  • HCPC and RCSLT registration
  • Valid drivers license
  • The legal right to work in the UK
