We are currently seeking to recruit a Chief Medical Scientist in Microbiology to join our team. This is a very high-level role in the Microbiology department and we hope to attract someone with experience in a Microbiology environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management and development of our Microbiology Department.

Location: Dublin
Employment Type: Permanent, Full time hours
Hours: 37.5 hours a week
Salary: Up to £67,000

What will you need to succeed in this role? 
Candidates must be able to provide evidence that they satisfy the requirements for registration to practice by the state agency CORU, confirmation of recognition by CORU. However, ideally full registration is required.
Bachelor Degree & Master Degree in Biomedical Science.
Minimum of 2 years proven operational experience as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist in a Microbiology Department.
Possess at least 7 years full time Clinical experience in Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory as Medical Scientist in Microbiology.
Committed to laboratory accreditation with proven experience in achieving and/or maintaining accreditation to the ISO 15189 medical testing standard.
Proven experience in developing, implementing and monitoring performance against KPIs.
Have recruited, trained and lead a team of skilled medical and administrative staff and created and effective working team.
Committed to continuous improvement and professional development of oneself and colleagues.
