Principal Optometrist - Farnham - Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with  one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Principal Optometrist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Farnham.

About the role:
As an Optometrist, you will be part of our team, providing our customers with top tier treatment removing the inconvenience from eye examinations, evolving it into an informative, consultative and pleasant experience.

Your main responsibilities as an Principal Optometrist:

• Perform sight tests, offering the best clinical and technical advice
• Provide visual field and retinal imaging assessments
• Consult with patients regarding their eye health, providing expert guidance on preventative measures alongside ways they can maintain their current condition
• Assist the branch manager in tracking and monitoring branch performance
• Ensure all equipment is correctly maintained and fit for purpose

What we are looking for in an Principal Optometrist:

• Commercially aware, and happy to offer the customer what they need
• Dedicated to exemplary patient service to ensure patient satisfaction
•  Excellent communication skills, with empathy and patience
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• Qualified Optometrist & fully Registered with the GOC
• Experience in using Slit Lamp Microscope, Keratometer, Ophthalmoscope, Retinoscope, Optomap, Pulsair or Goldmann tonometer, Henson Compact 6000 or the Henson 7000 and NIDEK Retina DuoScan Photo OCT
