Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist in Histology, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Dublin, which is easily accessible via public transport.

As a Senior Biomedical Scientist, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. - Assist Eurofins Pathology in maintaining a high standard in medical testing
- Participate in implementing the Department’s Laboratory service that supports the clinical needs of our patients and is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of Eurofins Pathology
- Participate in the work of the Histopathology Department in whichever area assigned
- Work with colleagues to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the department
- Ensure that all work is carried out to a high standard, adhering to SOPs at all times
- Actively participate in ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained and safe working practices are compiled with at all times
- Assist in ensuring that adequate supplies of reagents and consumables are maintained and that the most efficient use is made of them
- Maintain and enhance their professional knowledge and skills as required (CPD)
- Observe the strictest confidence when dealing with all aspects of patient and Company information
- 5 years’ experience specifically in a working medical Histology lab
- CORU Registered with proof of registration
- Batchelors Degree & Masters’ Degree in Biomedical Science
- Extensive experience of scientific work in the Histology laboratory, embedding, microtomy (manual and automatic) and routine and special stains, and specifically in Dissection & Cut-Up
- Knowledgeable, dedicated and vastly experienced Permanent Team with longstanding professional relationships with multiple clients
