Job description
Maxxima have recently partnered with a leading private hospital. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Mammographer who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service. This post is based in London, which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Senior Mammographer, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

About the role:
As a Senior Mammographer, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Mammographer:
- Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
- Undertake all administrative duties involved with the Mammography service under the guidance of the Site Superintendent and Mammography Superintendent
- Utilise and understand the PACS and DR/CR system.
- Be aware of the need to work at either the main Hospital department or any of the satellite departments if required
- Participate in symptomatic breast clinics and assist with vacuum assisted biopsies where appropriate
- Rotation into other modalities possible for Candidates wishing to split role with X-Ray, CT or MRI
- HCPC registered
- Relevant post Graduate experience with a post DCR in Mammography
- Knowledge of processes and procedures in Mammography
- Use of Hologic equipment previously - Desirable
- Radiation Protection Supervisor – Desirable
