Maxxima’s permanent team are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Psychologist on a permanent basis to work for the UK's largest hospital group.

On a typical day you will:

An exciting opportunity has come up for a 1.0 Band 8a Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist/CBT Therapist to work within an inter-disciplinary team offering high intensity psychological therapy to service users who present with mental health difficulties. The successful applicant will lead a team of psychologists and psychological therapists offering individual therapy and group-based interventions. The team are trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities including CBT therapy, Narrative Exposure Therapy, DBT and schema-focused therapy. The successful candidate will have access to high quality training and opportunities to attend CPD events. As well as their individual client caseload, the successful applicant will also support the interdisciplinary clinical team through consultation, contributing to and/or chairing the weekly inter-disciplinary meeting, offering line management, and delivering clinical supervision to Band 7 psychologists and CBT therapists, training and service development activities.

What will you need to succeed in this role?

• Post Graduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society, or British Psychological Society Statement of Equivalence or fully qualified CAAP (Adult)
• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a clinical psychologist or a counselling psychologist
• Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology
• CBT therapist with a core clinical professional background (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy) with BABCP accreditation
