Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s Private hospitals. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in London, which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will be contributing to the development and growth of the pharmacy departments across the Hospital, a private cancer unit specialising in haematological cancers and stem cell transplant.
 
Your main responsibilities as a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist:

• Provide a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service to inpatients and outpatients, including prescription monitoring, the provision of drug information, medicines reconciliation and patient counselling
• Maintain a supply of prescribed medications to inpatients
• Clinically verify all systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions, ensuring clinically appropriate and legally correct
• Assist in running the inpatient and outpatient dispensaries
• Receive and supply controlled drugs in line with policies and regulatory requirements 

What we are looking for in a Senior Specialist Clinical Pharmacist:

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Specialist knowledge within haematology and Oncology and prior experience of working within Cancer Services.
• Specialist knowledge of aseptic production is desirable
