Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Bolton, Greater Manchester , which is easily accessible via public transport.
 
About the role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be working in a school  which provides education for children aged 3-19 with learning disabilities and/or complex needs.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Provide a speech and language therapy services to children, directly and through support to their families and the multi-disciplinary team
• Provide speech, language and communication assessments for pupils / prospective pupils in consultation with the multi- disciplinary team and other SLTs and SLTAs
• Keep accurate records and provide written reports
• Set targets for therapy and monitor progress
• Provide intervention on an individual or group basis as required
• Develop and demonstrate SLT programmes and groups for pupils
• Hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

• Speech and Language Therapy Degree or Masters
• Experience working with children who have complex needs, their families and the Multi-agency team
• Registration with RCSLT and HCPC
• Respect for confidential information
• Enhanced DBS applied for by Communicate SLT CIC following appointment
• Commitment to Communicate’s mission, vision and values
