Job description
Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for an experienced Superintendent Radiographer, who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in Hertfordshire and North West London, which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Superintendent Radiographer, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

About the role:
As a Superintendent Radiographer, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.
Your main responsibilities as a Superintendent Radiographer:
- Carry out a full range of scans and x-rays to a high standard
- Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the satellite imaging departments
- Coordinate scanner bookings and schedules to ensure correct bookings and optimum capacity available, manage opening times of the scanners in line with service requirements and in liaison with imaging management
- Be involved in the MRI Non-Ionising Radiation User Group, and report into the Local Radiation Protection Committee to ensure department is compliant with relevant legislation
- HCPC registration
- Degree in Diagnostic Radiography (or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in MRI and CT scanning with recent x-ray experience
- Knowledge of processes and procedures in radiography
- Desirable: Prior experience at the same level or experience in managing a team
